SURVIVOR .. Luthier Island - build a guitar with native island tonewoods you have to cut yourself, and using tools you have to make - to start, you get a broken LawnBoy riding mower, three flints, a ball of twine, the complete set of John/Robbie/DanErlewine videos in VHS, and a BetaMax player !!!! If you can find the hidden treasure chest of standard issue carpenters tools buried somwhere on the beach, then good luck !!!!

Those who havent got a set of sides bent by the end of day two, well you know .....

A bottle of glue might be good too. :-)

Glue ??? what the heck kind of survivor would that be !!! A Red Green case of duct tape maybe .... although none can be visible on the final product.

Hey .. thats a really nice hand smeared pine sap finish you got there !!!!! YOU WIN.

Glue...Of course, you'll have to boil your own hides (well, not actually your OWN hides, you know what I mean), gleaned from the small indigenous nocturnal critters on the island, hunting with only a torch and a pen knife.

Come on the original has to be MacGyver, all your realy need is a swiss army knife, some chewing gum and some foil of some sort and you can do anything.

Good Idea there Tony.

Sent adrift ON a banjo!!!

I like the "Luthier Idol" idea--man, now THAT would be a tough competition, even just considering the "amateur" builders at the OLF!

Good one Nelson .. and it plays a track off "pickin on Zeppelin", over and over and over ... come to think of it, could be our local radio station, Q107, commonly referred to as Q-1-0-Zeppelin, cause no matter when you switch to that station, its Zeppelin !!!!

Well, a Banjo for company sounds nice. It's a far cry better than a volleyball named "Wilson".
And if you could find a raft, it could double as a paddle.

ROTFLMHO

Great one Don, reminds me of the old Yamaha classical that we use to paddle with at our camp!
